12' W7 or 12' SOLO X?

i am planning on buying a new sub for my cadillac deville but i cant decide which one is better if i buy the W7 i will get the 1000Watt JL amp how ever if i get the SOLO X i would buy the 2500Watt Kicker amp to push the speaker to the max for each. i have a SOLO L7 10' in my Mazda 3 with a 1800Wat amp it sounds great for a 10' it has me leaning on Kicker but i hear so much about the W7. i know that the SOLO X has a higher power handling ability so to me that means it should at least sound louder with the proper amp then the W7 would. could anybody that has heard both speakers in person help me out on making my decision which is better W7 or SOLO X?
